Catalyst 8300 Series are made to handle edge connectivity at branch sites, with vastly improved performance above Cisco’s ISR 4400 routers. This platform makes it possible to create an entirely software-defined branch, including connectivity, edge compute, and storage. Compute and switching capabilities can be added via Cisco’s UCS-E Series blades and UADP-powered Switch modules.
